Melon Plot Prep & Second Harvest

Wednesday, April 20th, 2:30PM – 5:00PM

Community Garden Plots at OCC

Hello everyone!

The garden plots for the horticulture club are exceeding our expectations and more work needs to be done to prepare for the next phase!

Tomorrow, April 20th, from 2:30PM – 5:00PM, our club members are going to be out in the garden plots weeding the melon patch to get the plot ready for planting. We’re also ready for our second harvest of micro-greens as well. All of our yields will be donated to a local food bank.

If you’d like to help out, please stop by and join us! Come dressed to work. Bring gloves if you’d like. We’ll supply the tools and water.

We’ll see you there!

The Annual Spring Plant Sale

Friday, April 15th, 22nd, and 29th, 10:00AM – 3:00PM

The Horticulture Gardens

Hello everyone!

Our annual spring plant sale is coming up fast! Next week will mark the beginning of three consecutive weekend dates that the horticulture department will have a variety of pepper, tomatoes, herbs, and other plants on sale.

Our sale will be hosted on Friday April 15th, 22nd, and 29th, from 10:00AM – 3:00PM in the horticulture gardens in the back of the department. Be sure to get there early to get your pick of the plot!

We are also looking for volunteers to come out and help us make sure that customers are being taken care of and business runs smoothly. If you’re interested in helping out, please let us know when you’re planing to stop by. Volunteers may arrive at 9:30AM if morning hours are preferred. Any help is appreciated. If you own a horticulture department shirt, we recommend you wear that to help customers identify you while browsing. If you don’t own a shirt but are interested in one, they are available to purchase through the department. Let a staff member of a club officer know!

We’ll see you there!
