Thursday & Friday, December 4th & 5th
The horticulture department’s annual poinsettia sale is coming up in two weeks! This is one our largest events of the year and it’s going to be as festive as ever. We will be hosting the sale in the gardens on Thursday & Friday, December 4th & 5th.
On Thursday, December 4th, from 9:30AM – 4:00PM, we will be distributing poinsettias to customers who have placed preorders. We will need help making sure everyone gets their order in an organized and timely fashion. There tends to be a rush in the morning because so many are excited to get their beautiful poinsettias therefore the more volunteers we have the better!
On Friday, December 5th, from 9:30AM – 5:00PM, we will be selling to the general public. We will need all hands on deck to make sure sales go smoothly and that everyone is accommodated.
We also wanted to bring up our final club meeting for the semester. We will no longer be doing a formal meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd. We will instead be doing prep work for the both days of the sale. From 8:00AM – 8:00PM, we will be working in the department, wrapping up, cataloging, and organizing orders to ensure things go well for the sale. This will be a great opportunity to get an inside look at our greenhouses and the amazing crop we’ve grown this year – you don’t want to miss it! Plus afterwards we’ll be providing pizza for all our wonderful volunteers as a thank you for all your hard work.
We are asking for any horticulture club members who are interested in being apart of our tradition and working with us to get the holidays started to please spare some time to help us out with this massive event.
