Join us this Tuesday for a special end of the semester potluck, we had a great semester this year, It started off great with the Solar Decathlon at the start of the semester, we made awesome succulent pumpkin planters in October, and in November we had a great pickling workshop and had a wonderful speaker, Amy Crips from the OC Beekeepers Association, come talk to us about beekeeping! Check out our Facebook for photos!
If anyone would like to sign up to bring some food that would be great, doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, can even be a few things you had leftover over the holiday, PLEASE reply to this email or contact us through Facebook or at school on Monday! If you are unsure bring some sides!
SPRING GARDEN SHOW
We want to devote our last meeting of the semester to one of the most important events of the year: THE 2014 SPRING GARDEN SHOW. Deadlines are coming up fast and we want to devote this time to come up with an amazing design for this years show, if you are interested in participating in the planning and design phase of the project PLEASE join us for this important meeting, even if you don’t want to be heavily involved your input is important! We always want to hear from all members and give them the opportunity to bring their ideas and input. The deadlines are fast approaching and we need to have a final design hammered out. The best time to do that is now before the semester ends and have momentum and lose everyone for the holiday break. Attached below is the theme of this years show if you are interested. Be a part of this amazing project!
We will also be talking about the Poinsettia Sale that will be happening next week. We are looking for any one who would like to help out Thursday orFriday from 10 am to 3pm. If you have a an hour here or there to help us pull orders on Thursday or help out with the General Sale on Friday then please do!
If you haven’t noticed it by now there is a small tree in the lecture classroom, it is part of the Angel Tree Toy Drive put on by the Associated Students. It is meant to collect donations in the form of gifts for children in need and senior citizens. The tree has tags with the name, age and gender of each recipient, and you can just leave donations in the box next to the tree. For more information you can check here.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
