Incase you haven’t heard ASOCC is looking for people to give the gift of giving this holiday season through the Annual Angel Tree Drive. There hasn’t been a strong turn out so they are looking for all the help they can get. If you would like to get involved here is the info:
Donate a gift to charity now through December 7th to the 28th annual Angel Tree Project. Students will collect gifts for needy youngsters and senior citizens.
Angel trees decorated with the gift tags can be found in various campus locations, including the Library, Science Hall, Lewis Center, Watson Hall, Technology Center, Chemistry Building, Business Education, Science Lecture Hall, Literature & Language, Administration Building, Clark Computing Center, Forum, Puente Office and the Bookstore. Each gift tag carries the name, age and gender of the gift recipient. Donors can place their new, unwrapped gifts in one of the decorated collection boxes next to each tree. Gifts and gift cards can also be dropped off at the Associated Students in the Student Center.
Students will deliver gifts to local organizations and needy children, including OCC’s Cooperative Agencies and Resources for Education (CARE) program that supports full-time students who are single parents with at least one child under 14 years. Each child at the OCC Harry and Grace Childcare Center also receives a gift.
